Summary:
Dry eye syndrome is one of the most common ocular chronic conditions that affects increasing number of patients worldwide. It is multifactorial disease with complex pathophysiology. However, inflammatory process seems to be a key factor in its vicious circle. Thus, every ophthalmologist should be aware of potential modes of its treatment. This review outlines wide variety of anti-inflammatory drugs approved for dry eye syndrome.
