Aging changes in the periorbital region may include the development of excess eyelid skin, hernation of orbital fat, descent of the eyebrows. These changes affect the limitation of the field of vision and the aesthetics of this area. Blepharoplasty is a popular technique for eyelid rejuvenation. Autor discus blepharoplasty role in periorbital rejuvenation, restoring the function of the eyelids, provide some information about patient selection, surgical technique and complication of surgery. Autor present methods of skin removal, treatment of the orbicularis oculi muscle and palpebral fat in order to obtain a good functional and aesthetic effect.
