Summary:
Purpose: Trifocal intraocular lenses (IOL) are a chance for presbyopic patients to achieve spectacle independence. The study aimed to compare the results of implantation of AcrySof PanOptix, AT LISA tri 839MP, FineVision Micro F, Symfony, and Synergy.
Material and Methods: We analyzed the studies comparing the visual acuity and contrast sensitivity after IOLs implantation.
Results: Most of the studies present comparable results. However, near visual acuity is significantly lower in the group of patients with Symfony lens.
Discussion: Contrast sensitivity is the best in patients with PanOptix or Symfony lenses. The group with implanted PanOptix achieved the best visual acuity at 60 cm distance.
Conclusions: Presented lenses give comparable visual acuity and higher-order aberrations frequency after implantation. The precise interview is essential to choose an appropriate lens.
