Summary:
Cataract is the cause of visual acuity decline and blindness around the world. Advances in surgery and the development of minimally invasive surgical methods have resulted in a reduction in physical trauma to the eyeball caused by surgery. Unfortunately, there are still postoperative complications related to inflammation, such as cystoid macular edema. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs have anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, which cause their use to reduce inflammation mediators, prevent pupil constriction and alleviate pain. They are also used in the prevention and treatment of diseases of the posterior segment of the eye.
