Summary:
Intraocular tumors in adults most often grow in the uvea. We can easily diagnose the tumors growing in the iris. The benign lesions include iris cysts, freckles, and nevi. Malignant neoplasms of the iris are most often melanoma, less often metastasis of breast or lung cancer. It is much more difficult to diagnose ciliary body melanomas in the early stages. We should always follow the basic rules of doing a fundus examination after dilating the pupil (regardless of the lens used) to accurately assess the long circumference. Then we will not miss the presence of pathological changes, including melanoma. We present standards for the management of Intraocular neoplasms in adults.
