Summary: Independent, safe motion for individuals with damaged vision is of considerable significance. In the process of learning spatial orientation one should consider following factors including: age and physical patients features, possessed visual abilities and also surroundings adaptation for the needs of individuals with damaged vision. Additionally, patient has to use techniques and aids created during training, cope with difficulties in independent motion and show intentions and motivation to learn, that spatial orientation would develop. Successfully completed spatial orientation training has a significant influence on psychical individual functioning, increases sense of independence and safety.
